Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, company name (if provided), and message are sent directly to JA Technology Solutions via email. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry. It is not stored in a database, sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing purposes.
Ask James
This site provides an AI-powered chat feature called Ask James. Chat conversations are processed through the Anthropic API (Claude) and temporarily stored in Cloudflare KV for the duration of the conversation session, up to a maximum of 24 hours. Chat sessions are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
If you provide personal information during a chat conversation, such as your name, email address, company, or phone number, that information is used only to facilitate follow-up by James Allman. A transcript of the conversation may be sent to JA Technology Solutions via email for follow-up purposes. Chat conversations are also sent to a private notification channel for real-time awareness.
No chat data is sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry.
Analytics
This site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. Plausible provides aggregate data about page views and referral sources. No personally identifiable information is collected by the analytics service.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies.
Scheduling
Scheduling runs on this site — there is no third-party booking service. When you book a phone consultation, availability is read from my Fastmail calendar over CalDAV, the calendar event is created on Fastmail, and confirmation emails with ICS calendar invites are sent to you and to me through Fastmail SMTP. The only third party in this flow is Fastmail, which hosts the calendar and the mail server. The data shared with Fastmail is the booking details you provide on the scheduling page (name, email, phone, and any notes you add).
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and delivery preference are stored securely. Email open and link click events are tracked in aggregate for deliverability purposes — no personal profiles are built from this data. You can unsubscribe at any time via the one-click unsubscribe link in every email. Your email address is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than delivering the content you requested.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only in email. Ask James chat conversations are temporarily stored for up to 24 hours to maintain the session, then automatically deleted. Chat transcripts may be retained in email for follow-up purposes. Newsletter subscriber data is retained as long as the subscription is active and removed upon unsubscribe.
